The Lady Bay Playground had suffered from erosion, making the existing surface unsafe and unappealing for children. To create a better environment for the local community, we were tasked with upgrading the space to ensure it was both safe and engaging, allowing children of all ages to enjoy it throughout the year.

Our Solution

Working closely with the local team, we designed a playground that would not only meet safety requirements but also provide a variety of fun and stimulating activities. By focusing on durable materials and a range of play features, we created a space that encourages physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play.

Key Features
1. Eagle Play Unit

•First, we introduced the Eagle Play Unit, a versatile structure designed for children of different ages. This unit includes climbing, sliding, and balancing features that help develop motor skills and coordination. It also encourages imaginative play and teamwork, making it a central attraction in the playground.

2. Flat and Cradle Double Swing Set

•To further enhance the play experience, we installed a Flat and Cradle Double Swing Set. This swing set provides safe and exciting options for both toddlers and older children. The cradle swings offer a secure experience for younger kids, while the flat swings allow older children to enjoy the thrill of swinging higher.

3. Haystack Climber

•Next, we added the Haystack Climber, which promotes active play and exploration. This climbing feature not only improves strength and coordination but also encourages children to challenge themselves as they navigate the structure, building confidence and problem-solving skills along the way.

4. Artificial Grass & Football Goalposts

•Additionally, we created a designated football area, complete with a Football Goalpost and Artificial Grass. This low-maintenance, all-weather solution allows children to enjoy the game year-round. The soft surface helps reduce the risk of injury while playing, ensuring safety during active football games.

5. Wetpour Surface

•Finally, to enhance overall safety, we laid a Wetpour Surface throughout the playground. This shock-absorbing material provides a soft landing for children, reducing the impact of falls and increasing comfort. Moreover, it’s durable and easy to maintain, ensuring the space remains safe and inviting for years to come.

The Result

The transformation of Lady Bay Playground has been a huge success. The upgraded area now offers a safe, engaging, and dynamic environment for children to play. From climbing and swinging to football and imaginative play, the space encourages children to be active and social in a safe, comfortable setting.
