Project overview
The client needed to make a statement to draw in trade in a busy area of Cardiff city centre. In a prime location near the main station, national stadium, arena, shopping centre and hotels AEL created a solution for extended trading. A windy site with tall buildings around creating a wind tunnel planters with glass screens were provided to protect from wind and driving rain. A telescopic arm awning was installed due to superior wind resistance. With the inclusion of heat and light the area remains comfortable into the evening.

Holmfirth
The Huntsman Inn
Read moreThe Huntsman Inn sits in the hills of Holmfirth, offering stunning views and a friendly atmosphere. The team wanted to make more of their outdoor area. Although the view drew people in, the space didn’t feel as welcoming or useful as it could. It lacked comfort, structure, and a sense of privacy. Guests didn’t stay long outside, and the team saw a missed opportunity, especially during warmer months.
