The Challenge

The Huntsman Inn sits in the hills of Holmfirth, offering stunning views and a friendly atmosphere. The team wanted to make more of their outdoor area. Although the view drew people in, the space didn’t feel as welcoming or useful as it could. It lacked comfort, structure, and a sense of privacy. Furthermore, guests didn’t stay long outside, and the team saw a missed opportunity, especially during warmer months. They needed a practical, flexible space that worked for drinks, dining, and private events. And just as importantly, it had to suit the style of the venue.

Our Approach

In addition, we started by learning how the space worked day to day. After talking through ideas and seeing the layout, we suggested simple changes that would make a clear difference.

• Framing the space with planters

  We added tall, stylish outdoor planters for restaurants to create natural borders. These gave the space a sense of flow and offered light screening, without blocking the view.

• Adding Alsace dining sets

  We supplied coordinated Alsace tables and chairs. They’re strong, easy to clean, and comfortable for longer stays. Their classic look also fits the venue perfectly.

Each product matched The Huntsman Inn needs. The space stayed open and flexible, so the team could rearrange things easily for different events.

The Result

The Huntsman Inn’s space now feels finished, comfortable, and ready for use all year round. People are more likely to sit outside, relax longer, and even book the area for private events. Guests say the layout feels more inviting. The venue has noticed an increase in outdoor use, which supports food and drink sales.
